SESSION 5 – Local’s Focus (October 10th, 9-12:30)
** STUDENT FILMMAKER SUBMISSION **
USA, 2007, 21 min.
Director/Producer: Jamie Taucher
Sea of Change reflects the most important current events affecting the health of our oceans. Beautiful and dramatic shots amongst sea cliffs and shrimp trawlers explore the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. Through an adventure in sea-kayaking, the film investigates the number one threat to our oceans; over-fishing. More importantly, the film explores solutions to over-fishing that other communities can emulate, and what can be done in our everyday lives to support a healthy ocean.
