My Canyonlands: The Adventurous Life of Kent Frost

SESSION 9 (October 11th, 9-12:30pm)
USA, 2008, 56 min.
Director/Producer: Chris Simon
Kent Frost, now in his 90’s, the last of the old time river-runners and a legendary back country guide from southeast Utah’s canyon country, as a boy Kent explored the wild canyons on foot; as a man, he ran its rivers, developed backcountry tourism, and helped create Canyonlands National Park. We see the impact one person can have on our perceptions of a place and the importance of person to person testimony, not just political action, in creating change.
