• Detropia - Jury Award - Flagstaff Mountain FIlm Festival (2012)

The woes of Detroit are emblematic of the collapse of the U.S. manufacturing base. Is the Midwestern icon actually a canary in the American coal mine? Haunting and beautifully shot, DETROPIA is a cinematic tapestry of a city and its people who refuse to leave the building, even as the flames are rising.

Rebuilding after the Great Website Crash of 2013

24 February 2013

A few weeks ago, we had a terrifying afternoon when our Website crashed in the worst possible way. It didn’t just stop working for a spell. We lost EVERYTHING.

So, unfortunately, at this point, the Website doesn’t necessarily showcase our more than 10 years of proud Film Festival history. But we are rebuilding, bit by bit. Please be patient with us, and if you can help in any way, please let us know!

In other news, we have confirmed dates for the 10th Anniversary (!!!) of the Flagstaff Mountain FIlm Festival: October 9 – 14, 2013. The historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Flagstaff will once again be our primary venue. Additional details will be coming via this Website, Facebook, Twitter, and our new email list in the weeks and months ahead.

If you are a filmmaker and wish to submit your film for inclusion in the Festival, our application is 100% online this year. Just head to our Film Submission page for more information and to start the process.

Thanks, as always, for your interest and support. See you in October!
